{"id":16416,"date":"2024-03-20T09:19:55","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T08:19:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/bank-transfer-transaction\/reconciliation-of-a-payment-request\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T10:07:53","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T08:07:53","slug":"reconciliation-of-a-payment-request","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/bank-transfer-transaction\/reconciliation-of-a-payment-request\/","title":{"rendered":"Reconciliation of a payment request"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CentralPay offers a service called <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/sct-transaction\/bank-reconciliation\/\">bankReconciliation<\/a> that allows you to link one or more SCT transactions to a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/payment-links\/payment-requests\/\">payment request<\/a> (PaymentRequest) if you are not using the virtual IBANs designated for SCT transactions.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. In the event of a reference error on the part of your client<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you use payment requests with virtual IBANs assigned to a specific customer, and your customer does not enter the \u201csepaReference\u201d correctly when making the transfer, CentralPay is unable to automatically match the transfer to the payment request. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can therefore use the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/sct-transaction\/bank-reconciliation\/\">bankReconciliation<\/a> service to map the received SCT Transaction to the payment request that was originally created:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><code>amount<\/code> = transfer amount in centimes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>wireTransferID<\/code> = SCT TRANSACTION ID (available in the SCT TRANSACTION hook)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>paymentRequestBreakdownId<\/code> = PaymentRequest breakdown ID (available in the PaymentRequest hook)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. If you are using your own order reference<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to manage your accounts receivable in CentralPay using the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/payment-links\/payment-requests\/\">Payment Requests<\/a> service without using the Smart Form payment page, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For each customer: Create a Customer record with a vIBAN, retrieve the vIBAN, and display it in your sales funnel along with your order reference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the same time, create a paymentRequest containing the same order ID (in the \u201cmerchantPaymentRequestId\u201d field) and the order amount<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As soon as you receive a customer transfer, you can identify the associated order using the \u201cdescription\u201d field in the SCT Transaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vous recherchez ensuite une PaymentRequest avec la m\u00eame r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans \u00ab&nbsp;merchantPaymentRequestId&nbsp;\u00bb\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If a PaymentRequest has the same reference, you associate it with the \u201cbankReconciliation\u201d service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If no PaymentRequest has the same reference number, but the transfer was received to a vIBAN Customer that has only one pending PaymentRequest or one with an identical amount, you can reconcile them using a bankReconciliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If no PaymentRequest has the same reference number and the Customer has multiple PaymentRequests pending settlement or for different amounts, trigger an alert in your system so that your finance department can manually reconcile the transfer (by manually linking it to the correct PaymentRequest via a bankReconciliation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfers not associated with a PaymentRequest will thus be easily identifiable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As well as unpaid or partially paid PaymentRequests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CentralPay offers a service called bankReconciliation that allows you to link one or more SCT transactions to a payment request (PaymentRequest) if you are not using the virtual IBANs designated for SCT transactions. 1.
