In France, it consists of 13 alphanumeric characters, the first two of which represent the ISO country code (FR for France). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having an ICS is a mandatory requirement for making direct debits. The creditor must apply to their bank for an ICS.
