CentralPay then charges the customer\u2019s card according to a payment schedule defined during the first transaction. It can be used to offer your customer a payment plan or to automate a \u201cdown payment\/balance\u201d type of payment.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike subscriptions, a customer cannot cancel an installment payment from the customer portal.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CentralPay helps you collect payments owed by your customers through a system of automated retries in the event of a failed direct debit. However, CentralPay does not guarantee the collection of these amounts through credit or a receivables financing system. <\/p>\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">\u2139\ufe0f The \"Installment\" is not the only way to process recurring transactions.<br \/>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/card-transaction\/recurring-card-transaction\/\">Recurring card transactions<\/a> page or the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/sepa-direct-debit-transaction\/direct-debit-transaction\/\">Direct debit transactions<\/a> page for details by payment method.<\/pre>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Create an installment payment<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, you must create a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/customer\/\">Customer<\/a> that contains at least:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/card-payment\/card\/\">Card<\/a> (if you wish to make card transactions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/sdd-transaction\/mandate\/\">Mandate<\/a> (if you wish to make card transactions via SEPA direct debit)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/installment-payment\/\">Installment<\/a> service will allow you to easily set up an installment payment based on the information provided in your request.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then you can <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/developpeurs\/installment-payment\/\">create an Installment<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Depending on your preferred payment method: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>for card transactions : enter the customer profile ID &#8220;customerId&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>for transactions via SEPA direct debit : enter the mandate SEPA direct debit ID &#8220;mandateId&#8221; an enter the desired transaction date in \u201crequestedCollectionDate\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the amount in centimes &#8220;amounts&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the currency in ISO \u201ccurrency\u201d format<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your client&#8217;s IP address in \u201cendUserIp\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the installment settings &#8220;iterationCount&#8221;, &#8220;IntervalCount&#8221; and &#8220;intervalUnit&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this service, you can also:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>d&#8217;imputer des frais suppl\u00e9mentaires \u00e0 votre client (feeAmount) : pour la mise \u00e0 disposition de cet \u00e9talement des paiements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to specify a deposit amount that will be deducted from the total amount (depositAmount). This deposit can also be set for a specific date (depositStartingDate) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to set a start date for the installment plan (startingDate): for example, if you want the down payment to be paid immediately and the first installments to be debited starting on a certain date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that when a installment payment is created, your customer automatically receives an email containing the details of their payment schedule. This email also includes a link to our <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/informations-generales\/portail-client\/\">Customer Portal<\/a>, where they can view the status of their recurring payments and update their credit card or SEPA direct debit information if necessary. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Example of installment payment<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You want to bill your customer \u20ac1,000, divided into 3 monthly payments starting on July 5, 2024, with a down payment of \u20ac200 on June 28, 2024, and add an additional fee of \u20ac10:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>amount =100000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>depositAmount = 20000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>feeAmount = 1000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>currency = EUR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>intervalUnit = MONTH<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>intervalCount = 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>iterationCount = 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>depositStartingDate = 2024-06-28<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>startingDate = 2024-07-05<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The split plan will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>June 28, 2024 = \u20ac200.00 (deposit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July 05, 2024 = \u20ac276,68 (first installment + rounding adjustments + additional fees)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August 05, 2024 = \u20ac276,66 (second installment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September 05, 2024 = \u20ac276,66 (third installment)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">\u2139\ufe0f The rounding are applied to the first payment (excluding deposit).<\/pre>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
