This section explains how to create CentralPay accounts, whether payment accounts<\/strong> or e-money accounts<\/strong>, as well as the methods available for initiating user onboarding through our tools (portal or API), depending on the partnership model.<\/p>\n\n

1. Types of accounts<\/h2>\n\n

CentralPay allows users to open two types of regulated accounts:<\/p>\n\n

Account type<\/th>Description<\/th>Samples of use<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
Payment account<\/strong><\/td>Payment account as defined in article L314-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code.<\/td>Payment by credit card, bank transfer, or SEPA.<\/td><\/tr>
E-money account<\/strong><\/td>A prepaid account in euros issued by CentralPay, in accordance with the regulations governing electronic money institutions.<\/td>Wallets, marketplaces C2C, cashback, titles.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n

The assignment of an account type depends on the merchant’s business model and whether the account is managed by an agent (DME or Agent).<\/p>\n\n

2. General enrollment process<\/h2>\n\n

Opening an account always involves a registration process that includes:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  1. Creating an enrollment request<\/strong>: starting a file containing basic information (email, last name, first name)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Completion of the registration process<\/strong>: submission by the user of required information and supporting documents (KYC\/KYB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enrollment validation<\/strong>: review by CentralPay, which may result in account opening, a request for additional information, or a rejection<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    3. Two possible interfaces<\/h2>\n\n

    Enrollment API<\/strong><\/td>A technical interface that allows an intermediary to initiate or complete enrollments via API.<\/td>Authorized intermediary by status<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n

    4. Compliance and regulation<\/h2>\n\n

    In order to comply with the regulatory framework applicable to Payment Service Providers (PSP), the division of roles is strictly regulated:<\/p>\n\n

    • CentralPay is the only party that initiates the contract process with the user<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The technical partner may not encourage, advise, or initiate the opening of an account<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The technical partner does not participate in the collection of supporting documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Only partners registered as MOBSPs, or Agent or EMD representatives, may participate in the expanded enrollment steps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
