{"id":16700,"date":"2024-06-26T18:44:50","date_gmt":"2024-06-26T16:44:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/documentation\/rates\/interchange-fees-and-card-schemes\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T16:56:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T14:56:25","slug":"interchange-fees-and-card-schemes","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/general-information\/rates\/interchange-fees-and-card-schemes\/","title":{"rendered":"Interchange Fees and Card Schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interchange fee is the amount charged by the issuer of a payment card (your customer&#8217;s bank) to the acquirer (the Merchant&#8217;s bank).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Card Scheme Fees are the fees charged by card networks (Visa, Mastercard, CB) to operate the service.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terms have been defined to describe the combination of these costs:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Interchange+<\/strong><br\/>Interchange fees + Card Scheme Fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interchange++<\/strong><br\/>Interchange fees + Card Scheme Fees + merchant service fees (CentralPay)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.centralpay.com\/en\/documentation\/rates\/sales-offers\/\">of CentralPay&#8217;s commercial offerings<\/a> include Interchange+ fees as well as our own service fees, so you won&#8217;t incur any additional bank fees when processing your transactions. Unless otherwise specified, a minimum processing fee of \u20ac0.15 is deducted from the IC++. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.
