Interchange Fees and Card Schemes

The interchange fee is the amount charged by the issuer of a payment card (your customer’s bank) to the acquirer (the Merchant’s bank).

Card Scheme Fees are the fees charged by card networks (Visa, Mastercard, CB) to operate the service.

Terms have been defined to describe the combination of these costs:

• Interchange+
  Interchange fees + Card Scheme Fees
• Interchange++
  Interchange fees + Card Scheme Fees + merchant service fees (CentralPay)

All of CentralPay’s commercial offerings include Interchange+ fees as well as our own service fees, so you won’t incur any additional bank fees when processing your transactions. Unless otherwise specified, a minimum processing fee of €0.15 is deducted from the IC++.
